A few weeks ago I blogged about maternity fall fashion. I was in shock to see that mini skirts, baggy formless overalls and tight skinny jeans & leggings were at the top of the list of new maternity fashions for this season. Even though is there very few extremely skinny women that could pull off wearing something like that it's still immodest in my opinion. At a young age I began dreaming of being a wife and mother.  I was thrilled to marry my one and only sweetheart, Sean, shortly after graduating from high school.  Since then, the Lord has blessed us with two boys, and two little girls. What an awesome responsibility Motherhood is!  Our children are blessings, but also take such dedication and work from us. 

 During each pregnancy I have tried to find modest, modern, feminine maternity skirts only to turn up empty handed.  I knew of many pregnant women who had the same problem as I did, and they didn’t have the ability or time to sew their own maternity clothes. My Modest Mom Experience! 

As I have mentioned in my previous maternity reviews, I am really picky about how clothing fits in general when I'm not pregnant and when I am pregnant it just gets worse! I have always been a modest dresser with long skirts and dresses and no sleeveless shirts or tank tops. Only during exercise do I ever wear a sleeveless fitted tank. I'm hot natured and have to stay cool.


When I was pregnant with Ethan I had to wear maternity clothes all through the spring and summer since he was due in August. I lived in maternity capris and short sleeved shirts. Every time I shopped for maternity clothes it seemed like there was 3 times as many maternity tanks or halter tops as regular short sleeved shirts. I won't even get started on the maternity summer dresses or the shorts. If you have been pregnant through the summer months before, you know what I'm talking about. I thought that being pregnant through the winter months that I wouldn't have as mush trouble finding modest maternity clothes, but that isn't the case. Skinny jeans and tight leggings are everywhere. I was starting to think I would have to sew my own clothes for the bottom half of me!
