Have you heard of shorties and longies?

If you use cloth diapers, more than likely you have at least heard of shorties and longies. They are wool shorts or pants that you put over the cloth diaper to help prevent leaks at night. It is especially useful for heavy wetters. However, they are not necessarily just for cloth diapered babies. Shorties and longies are adorable on sposie babies too. They come in a variety of cute colors and designs that's perfect for a diaper cover for pictures.

Snugglepants was born when I turned one of of my favorite sweaters, the original Gap Crazy Stripe sweater from 2000, into a pair of pants for my then 9 month old son.

The original Gap Crazy Stripe Sweater from 2000 has since become our signature item!

I had attended FIT in New York and majored in fashion design, but my life's work and passion has always been costume design, particularly medieval and 18th century. I lived and studied for one year in Florence, Italy, which is where my older son was born. After Tristan's birth, my creative side got put on hold for a while...

Then we discovered Music Together, and I loved it so much that I started teaching it. 3 3/4 years later Ronan was born and with him came a re-birth of my desire to create things.

I love finding unique and beautiful vintage sweaters to turn into baby pants. We go out of our way to use only the most beautiful, interesting and unique sweaters for our sweater pants, longies, warmies and shorties. Ronan has quite a collection! People started asking me where they could get the sweater pants, too, so that's how Snugglepants got started.

Ethan's SnugglePants Experience!

This was Ethan's first time to try out any type of wool so this was a real treat. We were sent a pair of shorties made from an Express maroon and gray stripe sweater. I know a little bit about sewing and I can say I was super impressed with how professionally SnugglePants are constructed. They are really soft and not at all itchy or rough feeling. Ethan seemed to enjoy wearing his SnugglePants. We treated the SnugglePants shorties with lanolin and tried them out for nighttime. I was happy the shorties worked well at night and kept him dry!
