green and eco-friendly choices. Organic food and eco-friendly clothing have been two of our top priorities in our home, but I am constantly educating myself about green living. Taking natural supplements and looking for natural remedies has become even more important since becoming pregnant. I hope my posts so far have been influential to encouraging you to make some (or all) of these changes as well for your family.
One of my favorite sites for shopping for Eco-Friendly Baby Products- EcoMom. New products are added regularly and they are consistently expanding their variety of products to make it a one-stop-shopping-experience to find everything you will need. Ecomom has recently started the EcoPass which gives you 15% off on all products as well as free shipping! Obtaining the EcoPass also allows you to take advantage of more discounts and promotions throughout the year such as the Daily Deal. I have been following EcoMom on Facebook for a while now and I am amazed at the wonderful specials that are offered on the Daily Deal! The EcoPass is truly a great savings and you will more than pay for the pass within a few orders.
Our Boon Potty Bench Experience!
Ecomom sent us the Boon Potty Seat to review because I am starting the process of potty training. Can I just assume that potty training the first child is the hardest? Thank you, that makes me feel better! There are times that I think Ethan is ready for potty training and other times I don't think he is. He is still not saying many words so it is still difficult to communicate with him when he needs to go to the potty. This is definitely a learning process for the both of us!
The Boon Potty Seat is a great item! I have never used any Boon products before, but I've heard positive reviews about them. We still had not purchased a potty chair because I couldn't find one that we liked. I had received a small BabyBjorn potty that I had registered on my baby registry because I had planned to do EC(Elimination Communication) with Ethan. However, after multiple attempts the EC method was not for Ethan. To this day he still doesn't want to sit on that potty! The Boon Potty Seat has been a total different story! It has a nice wide seat so it feels more comfortable and secure for him to sit on. He's fascinated by the two storage spaces on either side that have a rolling lid. The storage spaces are large so they will hold a whole roll of toilet paper or baby wipes. There is even extra room to store a book or a toy as well. the potty is designed to make clean up easy and there are no crevices that make it difficult to get clean either.
One thing that I absolutely love about the Boon Potty Seat is that it's more than just a potty chair! The lid folds over to make a sturdy step stool that kids can push up to the sink to wash their hands. I also use the bench to sit on by the bathtub while Ethan takes a bath. What a genius idea to have a potty chair be a multi-function piece for the bathroom! Our bathroom next to Ethan's bedroom is really tiny so space is limited! Our vanity is really tall as well so it's nice to know that as he gets older he can wash his hands himself.
Overall, I'm really impressed with the quality and function of the Boon Potty Seat. It's worth the money to have a potty chair that functions for more than just a potty chair in the bathroom.
