Kolcraft Jeep Wrangler Unlimited g-edition Stroller Review & Giveaway

~~~THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED~~~
Do you choose baby products made from recycled materials?
More baby items and gear everyday are being made "green" and environmentally friendly. I think it is fantastic considering how much baby gear we typically buy when we have kids. We should really support the companies who are looking for new ways to make their products safer for us and the environment.
 Our Jeep Wrangler Unlimited g-Edition Stroller Experience!
I am a current owner of a Jeep Unlimited Overland Jogging Stroller which I absolutely love. You can read my review about my jogging stroller here. Since the jogging stroller is large and not convenient to taking shopping, I was looking for an umbrella stroller I could go shopping with.  When I realized Kolcraft also made umbrella strollers I contacted them about their products. I was so excited they were going to let us try out their new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited g-edition stroller!
We've had the stroller for a few weeks now and I have really put this thing to the test! First of all, shopping. It really is the right size to go shopping with. It's easy to maneuver around those smaller tight aisles in department stores at the mall. I didn't bump into anything or get hung up on a clothes rack because it was small enough to get around them. The storage basket underneath is spacious to hold several items. You probably can't expect it to hold all your Christmas shopping though ;-)
Secondly, I really tested this stroller outdoors! Last weekend we headed to Arkansas for a short trip which you can read about it here. We went to a cavern that was listed as "stroller friendly". It had been at least 15 years since I had been there before and I was thinking asphalt paved walkways. No! The trail down to and back from the cavern was tiny gravel and the path in the cavern was hand paved and very rough (see the picture above). This stroller did not have any problems through any of it and I was completely surprised. My husband thinks it is because the way the wheels are made on the stroller. I don't know anything about mechanics, but I agree with him. There was a lady in our group who had a full size stroller and fought with hers the whole way as it got caught on every little bump in the cavern. The trail back was even worse, the tiny gravel was deep. My husband and I were talking how great our stroller did over it and we knew the lady was not going to be able to push through it at all!
Third, it's awesome to travel with! We were able to fit the stroller, a large suitcase and a big pac'n'play in the trunk of our little car with room to spare! With a full size stroller we would only be able to fit the stroller and the suitcase.
There are a couple of other features that I love about this stroller.
  1. It is the perfect height for both me and my husband. I'm 5'7" and my husband is 6'2". Every time I saw a parent pushing an umbrella stroller they were always hunched over the stroller and they weren't tall people either! Most umbrella strollers are very short. I don't hunch over this stroller at all.
  2. I love the extra pockets to store things and the cup holder. I don't think any other umbrella stroller offers these features already on the stroller. Of course we always have Ethan's sippy cup with us when we go somewhere. It's convenient to have it out and ready when he wants it.
Overall, I am extremely impressed with the design, function and smoothness of the ride this stroller delivers. It offers features that a full size stroller has, but at a compact size which is easier to use. This stroller is definitely worth every penny you will spend on it!
