Menu Plan Monday

After Ethan was born I really got into menu planning. I also learned how to buy certain cuts of meat when they were on sale and stock up. I even talked my husband into letting me buy a small deep freeze when we moved into our new house this past April. Right now it is sitting empty in the garage, but when turkey breasts start going on sale for the holidays I will have that freezer full! Sometime soon I'll share how I save money by purchasing meat on sale and freezing it.

I have a few items of meat still in my freezer and I want to "clean it out" before buying anymore. My husband is an EXTREMELY picky eater, you would not believe it. My friends don't believe it until they come over to eat at our home or if we go to their home or out of eat. Since he is such a picky eater literally there are only about 15 different meals that he'll eat. Seriously. One day I took the time to write down what he'd eat. I got burned out doing meal planning and now I'm really getting burned out cooking. I used to love to cook, now I just can't stand it because it's always the same thing. I love baking though! Again, he is picky there too, but I make stuff anyway, I have a sweet tooth! LOL

I'm going to share my menu for this week! I probably won't ever do it again because it's VERY boring! I would like to share my homemade roll and pizza crust recipe with you guys. The homemade rolls you make once then can freeze them and bake them as you need (like Rhoades Rolls). The pizza crust is a no-rise recipe. I had a tough time finding a no-rise recipe. Pizza is my quick meal night and I don't like having to prepare the crust hours before. If I get a chance I will post it this week.

Monday: Stew, beans, cornbread
Tuesday: BBQ beef sandwiches
Wednesday:Beef fajitas, beans, chips & queso
Thursday: Pepper steak, rice, salad and homemade rolls
Friday:Pork Chops, mash potatoes, salad, corn, homemade rolls
Saturday: Steak, mashed potatoes, salad, broccoli, homemade rolls
Sunday: Homemade canadian bacon pizza

Hubby eats anything except mushrooms and liver, so I am very fortunate. It must be frustrating trying to prepare variety for such a picky eater. Will he eat soups or casseroles at all? He sounds like a real meat and potatoes man...which is fine, of course. I just wanted to let you know that Mister Linky is up for this week's Crock Pot Wednesday. I would love for you to come post a slow cooker favorite.
