When having 2 young children a double stroller is a very handy item to own. It makes trips to the zoo and to large shopping malls easier for mom and dad. However, it's important to have a double stroller that isn't too massive or bulky, otherwise it will be more of a headache to use it than go without. The Jeep Traveler Tandem Stroller is a great option for parents because of it's space saving design.
When researching the double strollers available on the market I realized that most were larger and would not fit into the back of our Mazda6 car which has large trunk space. We don't plan on getting a larger vehicle very soon, but still wanted a double stroller for convenience. I came across the Jeep Traveler Tandem Stroller and was pleased that the description claimed that 'no mini-van or SUV was required.' After measuring our trunk I compared it to the product specs and was pleased that indeed it would fit in our trunk!
We were really excited when Kolcraft sent us the Jeep Traveler Tandem Stroller to review. This is our 3rd Jeep stroller to own and use. I bought the Jeep Overland Limited Jogging Stroller right after Ethan was born. This stroller was great to take Ethan out on my runs while I was getting back in shape. Our second stroller was the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited g-Edition Stroller which turned out to be the perfect umbrella stroller.
When we received the Jeep Traveler Tandem Stroller I actually put it together all by myself. My husband always puts together the baby gear in our house, but this time I beat him to it. I found it very easy and the directions were clear and simple. It took approximately 15 minutes to put together. Ethan couldn't wait to try out the stroller and promptly climbed into the front seat and started playing with the "steering wheel."
I absolutely love this tandem stroller! Here are my favorite aspects of it:
- I can place my Chicco KeyFit 30 in the back and Ethan can sit in the front comfortably.
- Huge storage basket below.
- Cup holder in front to fit sippy cups.
- Handle adjusts to 3 positions, making it tall enough for me or my husband to use.
- Stroller breaks down quickly to put into car.
- Wheels all move smoothly during use (better than all my other strollers).
- Sunshades for both front and back seats.
- The stroller doesn't 'feel' bulky or too large compared to other tandem strollers.
Ethan in the back seat.
Lots of leg room in the back seat.
