My Antioxidant Omega 3 Greens Review!
If you have followed my blog for a few months now you'll remember that I was really into making my own green smoothies several times a week. I even got Ethan to drinking them with me! As soon as I became pregnant with baby #2 the last thing I wanted to consume was a green smoothie! Sadly, this is the most crucial time to continue to drink those green smoothies. Tropical Traditions recently sent me the Antioxidant Omega 3 Greens in the berry flavor to review. I was really happy to try this product out because I knew I needed to get back to drinking my green smoothies again.
The Antioxidant Omega 3 Greens is a very fine powder than smells very much like, greens of course. Directions say to add 1 scoop to 8 to 10 oz. of water. I like my green smoothies icy cold so I put mine in the blender along with a frozen banana and a couple ice cubes. If you are running short on time or don't want to make a mess by getting out the blender, I'm sure just added it to water like the directions say would be perfectly fine. Since the powder is really fine it blended up very well. In fact, much better than using fresh greens.
This mixes up to be a very tasty green smoothie, much better than I expected from a powdered green drink. It is definitely sweet enough and does not need any added sweetener at all. Overall, I am really happy with the Antioxidant Omega 3 Greens for several reasons.
- Quick and convenient to make
- Has significantly more nutrition than the typical green smoothie you would make from scratch plus has Omega 3s
- Organic ingredients and sweetened with stevia
- Considering the power packed nutrition in this canister compared to how much it would cost to buy all the organic ingredients to make something similar, this is a very reasonably priced product!
