Fuji EnviroMax Review & Giveaway

~~~THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED~~~
It seems like all of our kids toys run off of batteries these days. Then we have so many electronics that run off of batteries as well. Between toys and all of the remotes, digital cameras, MP3 players, and hand-held games we go through a bunch of batteries as I know every other household does.
Most people throw away their used batteries into their trash which ends up contaminating our landfills. I know this for a fact because I have seen many people throw batteries away and I am guilty of this as well.  I realized what I was doing a couple of years ago and now have a plastic bin I keep in my utility room labeled "Used Batteries". Once a year there is a local drop off where batteries and other hazardous household items can be disposed of properly. Still, so many Americans are not very conscientious about their environment and the impact of what they do and don't take advantage of these free drop offs. These batteries end up in our landfills.
Fugi has created a line of EnviroMax batteries that are eco-friendly. The EnviroMax batteries are cadmium, mercury and PVC free. These batteries are composed from 75% recycled materials and have a recycling rate of 93%. EnviroMax batteries are landfill safe and come in all sizes in both digital alkaline and super alkaline.
I was sent a package of the AA Fuji EnviroMax Digital Alkaline Battery to try. As you can imagine, I use my camera quite a bit and I go through digital batteries all the time. About a year ago I switched to rechargeable batteries which I thought was more environmentally safe. I used the Fuji EnviroMax in my camera and it did great. I still had the same (if not more) power in a pair of these eco-friendly batteries compared to my re-chargeable ones. I'm really excited to use batteries that are eco-friendly and do not contain the harsh harmful metals as traditional ones have, but still produce high performance.
I really hope that more people will try the Fuji EnviroMax batteries and start disposing their hazardous materials properly for the sake of our environment and our health!
BUY IT! Find a local retailer near you to purchase Fuji EnviroMax or purchase online.
WIN IT! Fuji EnviroMax is giving away 2 packs of AA digital batteries & 2 packs of AA super alkaline batteries to 1 Take Time to Smell the Rose reader! A $42 value!
                                    I didn't realize there were different types of rechargable batteries other than the obvious size and brand.
                                    The digitals are good for things like my camera, obviously, but also hand-held gaming systems, mp3 players, and other sorts of smaller electronics. The supers are good for toys, flashlights, radios, etc. Tate would love the supers for his Buzz bubble maching (thanks to my MIL)! The current rechargables we haee been using don't last very long. :o)
                                    I checked out the Fuji site and I learned that most of all resources used in the Fuji EnviroMAX manufacturing process are reused and recycled! I also learned that the batteries contain no mercury...I am super happy a company is making these types of 'green' batteries now, I will definitely be looking into buying these products!!!
