Pre-Wash

Use:

Use: 
Pre-clean with 1/2 ounce Thirsties® Pre-Wash on COLD (if your machine has a pre-wash cycle, use it; if not, use a short cycle).  Follow with 1/2 ounce of Thirsties® Super Wash in heavy cycle on HOT (less than 120°F; 50°C) with an extra rinse.  DO NOT USE ON HAND-DYED TEXTILES.  We recommend testing for color fastness prior to using on dyed textiles.

My Thirsties Pre-Wash & Super Wash Experience! 

I was excited when Thirsties wanted me to try out their new Pre-Wash and Super Wash detergents. The concept of using the Pre-Wash to help rinse of the bacteria off of the diapers before you wash was intriguing and makes a lot of sense.  I admit I was a little skeptical at first using just 1/2 ounce of Pre-Wash with my diapers. With most detergents I have used on my cloth diapers I usually have had to use more detergent that what the label suggests. However, I did use 1/2 ounce like the Pre-Wash suggested.  It appeared to help loosen most of the soil off of the diapers. 

Next was to test out the Super Wash. Again, I used only 1/2 ounce as suggested on the label. After the first washing (with no extra rinse!) I picked up one diaper to take a huge sniff. I smelled NOTHING. It was clean! I continued to sniff each one as I took them out of the washer because sometimes you have that one diaper or two (maybe the really nasty poopy ones?) that still has oder. Still, no smell! I was in complete awe.

After 3 weeks of washing with the Pre-Wash and Super Wash I've had the same exact results with each use. I'm beyond pleased with Thirsties Pre-Wash and Super Wash! This is the first detergent I have used on my cloth diapers ever that #1, I only had to use the amount suggested and no more.  #2, the detergent took away all oder in my diapers where I didn't have to rinse with vinegar or sun them to try to take out the last bit of smell.

I know there are several brands of cloth diaper detergents out there, but I think this is truly the best detergent out there. Even if you aren't having any stink issues with your diapers, you have got to try this awesome Pre-Wash and Super Wash!
