Crunchy Clean Review & Giveaway

~~~THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED~~~
Do you use an all natural detergent...that smells like a cupcake?
I was recently searching for natural cloth diaper detergent online and came across Crunchy Clean. I hadn't heard of it before, but it sounded like a great product.  What impressed me was all the different fragrances for a natural laundry detergent...including a buttercream cupcake fragrance!
What is Crunchy Clean?
Crunchy Clean makes an Everyday Detergent and a Diaper Detergent.  The cloth diaper detergent is a special blend of naturally occurring minerals, detergents, oxygen releasing agents that have proven to clean diapers in a safe way that does not harm your precious baby or your diapers. It does work to kill bacteria, and works great in any temperature wash and any type of machine. You can use it to soak your diapers to kill germs or get rid of stains as well as wash your diapers regularly.
* No optical brighteners, fillers, dyes, or enzymes.
* Great for military use!
* Clean rinsing - an extra rinse isn't necessary!
* No soap to build up in your diapers.
* HE compatible.
* Great for all of your family's clothing and diapers.
Our Crunchy Clean Experience!
I received a regular sized bag of the buttercream cupcake. Buttercream is my favorite fragrance of candles so why shouldn't it be my diaper detergent too! I love the recycled re-seal-able paper bag Crunchy Clean comes in. Although buttercream is my favorite fragrance, you don't want to breath too deeply after it's combined with your poopy diapers ;-)
The recommended amount is 1 to 2 tablespoons, although per directions it could be more depending on how dirty your load is. At first a tablespoon didn't seem to clean my diapers (I always like to start out with less). I ended up doing a cold rinse on my diapers first, then a  hot wash with 3 tablespoons and it got my diapers clean! I'm wondering if maybe I have hard water? I didn't really realize that before, but I'm thinking I do. Crunchy Clean just came out with detergent specifically for hard water.
If I dry my diapers in the dryer instead of line drying, I think I even smell a faint smell of the buttercream fragrance! One of Crunchy Clean's top selling fragrance is Monkey Fart which I'm curious what that smells like!
Glad you enjoyed my guest post on Happily Domestic about the stinky diapers! I'm looking forward to yours soon, too, showing us how to make cloth diapers! WooHoo!
And, I haven't had a chance to try this Crunchy Clean detergent yet, but the ingredients in it look fabulous for washing cloth - so glad to read your review!
