Please read: The purpose of a copy & paste tweet

For several months I have provided a 'copy & paste' tweet for each giveaway. There are several important reasons for this and I thought I would explain because I have noticed some people take advantage of this and some don't.

  • Most of the companies I do reviews for have a twitter account. I add the @CompanyName in the tweet so it will benefit the company in several ways. At anytime they can search tweets to see which tweets reference to them. Anyone who sees this tweet can click on it and it will go to the companies Twitter account where most the time they have a direct link to their website. This is advertising for them. I also add @smell_the_rose to reference to myself so I can easily see tweets that were made about my giveaways.
  • I also add as many #HashTags as possible (although I'm still researching new ones out there that I can incorporate) to catch attention of anyone looking at tweets in a certain category. For instance in my upcoming Healthy Living Event I'm using #organic and #ecofriendly, etc to bring traffic in from those tweeters who use these types of products.
  • I try to use the limited amount of space in my tweet to my best benefit. I use Tiny URL to make the url smaller so it does not take as much room in the tweet, allowing me to add more information.
  • Another purpose of a 'copy and paste' tweet is to make it easier for everyone. However, I've noticed a lot of people don't use the 'copy and paste' tweet and I don't know why.
So in a nutshell, I'm really trying to help out the sponsoring companies. I don't demand a tweet to be a 'copy and paste' of what I provide you in each giveaway. However, I greatly appreciate those who use them. If you have any questions about how this works or if you have issues with them, please drop me an email. Thanks =)

much better for twitter newbies than trying to 'peck' it all out by hand!

I like the cut and paste tweets, too. I hate trying to think of how to say what I want/need to say in so few words. I love when other people take that out of my hands. :-)

I am more inclined to tweet the contest when the host does a copy and paste for me. I really appreciate you posting them! I think it's easier for everyone! Thank you!

I always use the copy and paste tweet when the host makes it available. It saves me time and says everything that needs to be said.

Thanks for the info. I love that you provide the tweet and all I have to do is copy and paste it. If the tweet is already prepared for you I don't know why some people would want to make up their own?? I really appreciate the cut and paste tweet. I have come across some blogs that require you to tweet with the sponsor's twitter name and then it is not provided so you have to spend a lot of time searching for the sponsor's twitter name. Thanks for making it easy for us!!
