Spring Flowers!!

I'm so happy spring is here!! Everything is starting to come up. Well, not everything. There are a few perennials that appear that haven't made it through the winter. Last week I trimmed back my roses except for my climbers on the pool deck. I'm debating how drastic I should trim them back so they won't be a nuisance. I'm going to be picking up some flowers tomorrow to fill in some of my flower beds since we will be putting our house up for sale soon.

I have 2 bleeding hearts in a corner part of my front flower bed that are blooming very pretty right now.

I have some creeping phlox blooming. I do not have good luck keeping creeping phlox alive. Any suggestions??
I love my little snail :-) I picked up a couple of snails last year with a gift card I got from my birthday. I think I'm hooked on snails now. I don't know why, they are just really cute!

We have a weeping cherry tree in our island bed that just finished blooming a very light airy pink. So beautiful!

Ethan enjoyed playing with the water dripping from the facet.

Do you see that stick looking plant right behind him? That's one of my roses. Yes, you are supposed to cut them back that far! So many people are scared to do it, but it is for the best and they will really flourish.

I'll have more pictures within a few days. I took some pictures of my beautiful wisteria. I used my film slr camera so they are currently at the developer. It will probably be a few weeks before I'll have any pictures to share of my roses. As you can tell they have a lot of growing to do first ;-)

How is everyone's flowers looking? Are you planning on adding anything to your flower beds this year?

My hubby pulled out both of my lilac bushes last year, so the only thing blooming in my yard right now (besides blasted dandelions and wild garlic) is my cherry tree. :o(
Tate loves playing in the water too. He drags the hose all over the yard. Thankfully he hasn't figured out how to turn it on... yet! :o)

Hi Chari, new here! I love to garden and have huge flower beds all over my property. Bleeding heart has always been a favorite flower of mine.My mom had creeping phlox that was so happy if creeped all over her yard! I find often plants that state full sun do better with a little shade.
