My favorite kids recipe website!

Since I'm in the middle of my Healthy Living Event, I just have to share my favorite website to get recipes from for kids. Catherine McCord has a wonderful website Weelicious.com. All of her recipes are made from scratch, but what is so cool is that they are easy. No excuses not to make something from scratch! Now, not everything on her website I would consider "healthy". She does use white flour, sugar, etc in some of her recipes. I just substitute these ingredients with something healthier. However, anything made from scratch is much healthier than a packaged food or mix at the store. Just say no to packaged stuff =)

Catherine has just applied to Oprah's Your OWN Show contest. Let's send a message to Oprah that the health of our children should be our number 1 priority by voting and commenting about how we need a show like Catherine's. Check out Weelicious.com and then go vote here!

This is fabulous, thank you so much! I really am struggling with finding "table foods" to cook for my 18 month-old. I tried checking out books at the library, but I think this blog is going to be a lot more user-friendly. Thank you!

Hi! I thought I'd stop by and check out your blog! Weelicious is such a fun site. I'd love to see Catherine get her own show!

I'm such a believer in cooking from scratch. True, there are moments where it's just overwhelming, but for the most part, it gets easier as you get used to it.

I sure won't be feeding my boy weird lunches from a can! Yuck!

Thanks for the site link. I feed my family from scratch and am always looking to test out new recipes. Even white flour and sugar are better than high fructose corn syrup and a whole load of preservatives and artificial stuff.

Thanks for sharing. It's so hard for me to find healthy recipes that aren't very complicated. I like to cook fresh foods for my family, but I'm not exactly the best cook. :)
