New Holiday Blog Meme: Take Time to Share Your Christmas Traditions

I know a lot of blogs focus on Holiday Gift Guides during this time, but really, events like these are pretty stressful and require so much time than normal. I'd rather spend my time decorating my own house, working on crafts and relaxing with my own family during these few weeks. I wanted to do something this year to get to know my readers a little better and just have some fun!

The holidays are all about family traditions right? I remember when Ethan was born I was trying to think of holiday family traditions to start. I want the memories of holidays for our children to be a special part of their childhood. We do have a few, but it was difficult thinking up of some. The best way to find new ideas is to share with other moms.

Starting this Friday I will have a weekly 'Take Time to Share Your Christmas Traditions' meme. I will be posting a linky for everyone to link their post for the week and I will keep each theme open until the next Friday when the next theme will start. I know that we are all pretty busy during the holidays so I want to keep it open for a whole week for those who may have forgotten and still want to participate.

I hope that lots of you will participate that have blogs. And if you don't have a blog, please don't think I'm leaving you out, just post a comment after my post each week and I'll be sure to read those as well.

Here's the schedule so you can start thinking and preparing your posts ahead of time. Be sure to grab my button to add to your blog to spread the word to others to participate. Also each week when you do a post add the button into your post so that people can click on it and will be directed to my blog here and they can read the others in the linky as well.

Feel free to be as elaborate or simple as you'd like in your post :-)

Friday, November 19th: Favorite Holiday Recipes

Friday, November 26th: Christmas Crafts
Crafts you have completed in the past that are a part of your Christmas decor, crafts your children do each year, or crafts that you traditionally give as gifts to others. These are just some ideas, but any type of Christmas crafts are welcome.

Friday, December 3rd: Childhood Christmas Photos
*Just a reminder, Thanksgiving is the previous week and is a great time to pick these up at your parents or grandparents house!* If you don't have any photos of yourself, you can always share your favorites of your own children.

Friday, December 10th: Holiday Traditions
Any holiday traditions! This is the best week to get ideas from other moms if you are looking for a new tradition for your family.

Friday, December 17th: Past Christmas Tree Photos
We take photos of our tree every year and also take our family photo in front of our tree. Share these memorable photos.

This is such a great idea! I can't wait for it to start. :) I did spread the word a bit through a blog post.
